Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Logistics and Supply Chain Management is a way of thinking first. It’s not just about “Can we win this opportunity?”, it’s more about “Can we win this opportunity to help the customer win, allowing us to become an advocate for the customer for the long term business relationship and rapport?”

In business, logistics is in everything we do. You should never underestimate the logistics requirements and the processes required to be successful. Embrace the words of the Chinese General Sun Tzu, “The line between disorder and order lies in logistics.”

At The Ginn Group, we understand the importance of logistics thinking in all of our processes. This begins with who and how we hire, their background roles and responsibilities, how they will fit into the organizational structure, and the value they add.

We have a high percentage of military veterans on the team, which starts with our founder. He instills the values required to support our warfighters with a passion to win. We know the importance of contractors in relation to military operations. With this in mind, we align our decision-making processes with our past experiences in similar environments, the real operational need, and how we can do it better than any organization in the field.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) has defined logistics management as the activities that plan and control the flow and “storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption” to satisfy customers’ requirements. At The Ginn Group, we stand in the shoes of the customer and shape our processes around the strategic goals upfront as written.

We create leaders with the freedom to do research and reach back into their business relationship pipeline individually. Then, we collectively communicate, collaborate, and cooperate on the best way to move forward, always keeping the win-win relationship as the cornerstone.

We also understand that we must stay abreast of customer logistics strategy and goals, whereby we will be the best-suited organization through the research and gathered intelligence required to meet customer needs.

We also seek out partners and teaming organizations of like-minded thinking, to create greatness for our customers, and then pay it forward by training leaders, and not followers.

This has become The Ginn Group’s way of thinking because the time is always right to do what is right!
